Throughout the film, my brother Siamak designs posters for imagined Pearl Jam concerts in Tehran and our hometown, Rasht. No major rock band has ever performed in Iran under the Islamic Republic’s rule, a restriction that left generations of Iranian youth yearning for the ordinary pleasure of seeing their favourite bands live.
